A Collaborative, Archiving and Classification Tool
This high performance tool classifies and allows the exchange of plans whether CAD or digitized. Plans can be classified by project, type of use, building or floor. Searching, consulting, visualizing, downloading, Publishing, annotating or printing plans are done from a centralized database. It gives access to professionals involved: architect, engineer, contractor, etc.
LIFE AFTER YOUR PLAN ROOM
Once the plan room is complete, explore all the platform’s functions for generating building data and managing portfolios, according to three lines of activities: assets, buildings and projects.
A Single Window for All Tools and Data
The Building Dashboard tool visualizes in 2D and 3D each building by floor, unit, room and workstation. It allows to navigate into each component of a portfolio in order to access up-to-date information. The information drawn from the plans are areas and volume for units, common areas and rooms; equipment, specs sheets, etc.
Quick links of the dashboard can be set according to the specific needs of each client and give easy access to all tools. The Archidata Solution is based on a single window approach for all building information.
Optimized and Ongoing Management of Surface Areas
The Space Management tool visualizes spaces of different types such as floors, rooms, administrative units and workstations. It produces drawings in either 2D or 3D and insures accurate information by updating the data after each project or move. It also automatically manages and generates reports on square footage according to the client’s measurement standards.
|STANDARD METHODS OF MEASUREMENTS||HEALTH/EDUCATION NORMS|
|BOMA OFFICE 80, 96, 2010, commercial, retail, residential||CAN/CSA-Z317.11-02|
|EGA / CGA (Exterior Gross Area, Construction Gross Area)||SILC / SILU|
|IPMS (International Property Management Standard)|
Inventories of Equipment for Better Asset Management
This Management tool indexes all equipment by room and building in 2D and 3D. It manages, visualizes and prints a list of equipment directly from the plans, without AutoCAD. The location of equipment is kept up to date and the access to the database is tiered according to the security level given to users.
EQUIPMENT CATEGORIESThis tool creates inventories of all equipment categories in accordance with the Uniformat II norm. Here’s an example of what our clients keep track of: asbestos, mechanical systems, fire prevention, electricity, telecom systems, floors and ceilings finishes, etc.
BIM (Building Information Modeling)
Go from 2D to BIM
The BIM tool converts all plans, digital or not, into the IFC (BIM) standard for visualizing a building in 3D. It updates the CAD/IFC files at each step of a project and standardizes them in any format needed by professionals (Revit, NavisWorks, D-Profiler, etc.).
COMPARISON OF CAD vs BIM
|Steep learning curve||Collaborative tool|
|Lines, arcs and text strings||Objects and models|
|No relationships between drawings||Standardized|
A Close Collaboration Management Tool
The Project Coordination tool sets up construction or renovation projects rapidly and efficiently. Virtual teams can be created at every step of a project, from design to construction. Modifications to drawings are archived and status of projects, finished or ongoing, can be assessed easily. This tool coordinates all types of construction projects, be it fast track or slow track.
LEASING MANAGEMENTOFFICE | COMMERCIAL | RETAIL | RESIDENTIAL
Ongoing Management of Leasing SpacesIn just one click, the Leasing Management tool creates a global image of vacant spaces for a building or an entire portfolio. It automatically generates and customizes technical specs sheets without the need of a third party. Specs sheets are available online to send to potential clients and are accessible from any mobile devices. This tool also produces occupancy simulations with lease expiry date for any given year.
Value-Added to Asset Management
The Portfolio Management tool enables good governance by promoting transparency of accurate data. It produces portfolio inventories in 2D and 3D. For financial reporting, this tool brings a standardized and continuous portfolio management inventory of spaces with accurate square footage.
ONGOING MANAGEMENT OF ASBESTOS
As a particular case of Space and Equipment Management, the Asbestos Inventory tool shows areas affected by asbestos by floor and by room, in 2D and 3D. The information is kept up to date in a database that is used as a centralized document. Access to the database is tiered according to the security level given to users.
BUILDING DASHBOARD CRITICAL FOR EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Archidata’s Building Dashboard enables emergency teams to navigate quickly into the building.
It can also be linked easily to any other earth mapping platforms.
The Archidata Solution allows users to access and view emergency floor plans, security systems and equipment of any building from any computer in the world in seconds, enabling a better preparation for, and a faster reaction to, any situation.
Hence, a response team would know how to access a building or room, know who occupies the room, and be able to view the equipment inside it (e.g., security, fire prevention, electrical, HVAC, mechanical).
Furthermore, the Archidata Solution has a very powerful search engine – a sort of “Google for the Building” – to locate rooms, workstations, employees, equipment and vertical voids.
Immediate access to the right building plan can save lives !
The Archidata Solution ensures that emergency teams and first responders have access remotely to the plans and that they are archived in an area outside the building itself.
